Your Word is our food, Lord.
Your Word is the source where we draw strength for life.
Your Word is the light that illuminates our walk.

Lord, lead us to daily encounter with your Word.
Help us to search in the daily reading of the Bible,
the echo of your voice that continues to speak in our reality.

Give us perseverance to read it consistently.
Give us attention to listen openly.
Give us a commitment to live the challenges that you pose to us.
Give us joy to integrate your message and your voice into our lives.

Your Word is our food, give us hunger and thirst for your Word,
to be our strength, Lord.
Your Word is the source where we drink, guide us to it,
so that we never miss it, Lord.
Your Word is the light that illuminates us, keep its brightness on,
to learn to see with your eyes, Lord.

Teach us to pray with your Word, help us to “ruminate” on your message
so that it permeates our whole life.
Teach us to do it together, in community, encouraging and giving us strength,
each other and all in your name.
Teach us to look at the world and life with your eyes through your Word.

Lord, open our hearts to your Word
so that it transforms us from within
and help us to live being echoes of your voice in our time. Amen.
