we ask for your justice, mercy, compassion and freedom
for the millions of people affected by human trafficking in our world today.
For the men, women and children enslaved by fear, torture,
dependency, captivity and slave labor.
We ask you to intervene with justice and grace.
● All: God the Kind Father, set captives free and restore justice to the world

Leader: Lord, we pray for the victims who are deceived, trapped and exploited, we ask for consolation for your pain, the healing of your wounds,
the courage to speak out against their oppressors and the hope of redemption,
both for those who have already been rescued and for those who have not yet been rescued.
● All: God the Holy Spirit, Heal and restore victims of human trafficking with your transforming power

Leader: God of justice, we pray for those who enslave:
the trafficker and the abuser, the pimp and the client, the slave owner and the unjust businessman.
We ask you to move them with your voice of justice and with your goodness.
Speak to them in dreams, with thoughts and words and also through legal intervention.
Help them understand their actions and understand your grace.
● All: Jesus our redeemer, we pray for the hearts and minds of the oppressors: the traffickers and the customers.

Guide: Lord of Hope, we ask you for light in the darkest of situations.
Guide and empower those who care and intervene on behalf of the victims.
Gives wisdom and insight to those who prosecute, judge and preside over human trafficking cases. Give wisdom and repentance to dealers too.
● All: Living Hope, instill Strength of Spirit in those who have the responsibility to stop human trafficking. Make us fervent in prayer and in action.

Leader: Lord of all, we want your kingdom to come and your will to be done. We know that human trafficking is against your very nature,
we beg you to put an end to this terrible slavery.
● All: Kind God, may we be people of prayer and action, people who speak about your truth and your justice to the world around us. People capable of using our time, our resources and our energy to overcome the evil of human trafficking. Amen.
