This book is a good historical summary of the entire life and works of Saint Arnold Janssen. It deals with the life and works of Arnold Janssen, from his studies for the priesthood through the founding of the three missionary congregations.

It presents the entire history of the beginnings and the developments of the three missionary congregations, the Society of the Diving Word, the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit and the Servants of the Holy Spirit of Perpetual Adoration, during Arnold Janssen’s lifetime.

  1. Today we idę to say that Arnold Janssen founded three congregations because there are indeed three congregations that consider Him their founder. However, Arnold founded two congregations: male and female. The female congregation had two branches, but shared management. It was not until 1918 that they split up and three congregations were established.
