In this writing various aspects of the family life of Arnold Janssen are related: family composition, economic dimension, and faith. It briefly includes a description of the father and the mother, their spirit of hard work and faith that they transmitted to their children. These characteristics, in some way, are reflected in the basic spirituality of the congregations founded by Arnold Janssen.
Later there are brief sections on various moments in the public life of Arnold Janssen from his priesthood to the founding of the 3 congregations, whose centre is in Steyl.
There are statements about the difficulties and the advances at the beginning of the congregations.
This writing consists of textual statements of the Founding Generation and its style makes for easy reading.
