The article introduces the reader to the little-explored world of the graphic heritage left by Saint Arnold Janssen. The author tries to demonstrate the organic unity that exists between the Founder’s thought and its graphic expression. At the same time, the originality and timeliness of the Founder’s theological thought becomes evident.

Dariusz Pielak born on 30.03.1965 in Poland. In 1985 he joined the Society of the Divine Word. During the seminary he did the experience of OTP in Argentina in a community of life inserted in popular environments of Greater Buenos Aires. After finishing the seminary he worked in Spain and did a licentiate in biblical theology there. Since 2003 he has been working in Russia teaching at the seminary and attending the parish of St. Olga in Moscow. He also devotes himself to deepen the themes related to the spiritual history of Arnold Janssen.

Muy interesante, conocer el pensamiento teológico de San Arnoldo atreves de las imágenes me ha fascinado, esa imagen de la oración del Huerto dice tanto, y no se diga su gran amor por el Sagrado Corazón de Jesús y el Espíritu Santo, Gloria a Dios por San Arnoldo. Gracias por esta publicacion

En cuanto a la “Oración del Huerto”, ya después de haber publicado este artículo descubrí que la idea de los ángeles que traen todas las herramientas de la Pasión proviene de la beata Katherina Emmerich – una mística alemana. que tenía visiones de la vida de Jesús. San Arnoldo era un lector asiduo de sus obras. Sin embargo, la imagen del Espíritu en la Cruz no aparece en los escritos de la beata, por lo tanto es un elemento original de nuestro Fundador.
