Lord Jesus, Gospel of the Father,
who one day prayed: “Our Father…
Your kingdom come to us.”

Give me a heart,
ecclesial and missionary,
that loves your Church and that,
following her example,
opens the avenues of love
to the ends of the earth.

Give me, Lord, a missionary heart
that can hear the cry of the people,
especially of the people
who most need your mercy.

Give me, Lord, a missionary heart
that has the courage to leave everything
for the sake of evangelization and mission.

Give me, Lord, a missionary heart
that seeks to welcome lay men
and women, also missionaries,
so that together we can continue
the mission of Jesus Christ,  building the Kingdom.
Your life, Lord, is my life,
your mission is my mission.

Give me, Lord, a missionary heart
to seek in the strength and joy of the Holy Spirit
to collaborate, together with the laity,
that the love of the triune God
may always be better known,
loved and glorified by all people.
