Carlo Acutis, Born on May 3, 1991 into a wealthy family in London, a teenager who stood out for his two passions: faith and computing. As well as being a computer genius, he was a great devotee; This young man not only lived Christianly, but used the networks to create a virtual display of the miracles of the Eucharist in the world. Jesus was for him friend, teacher and saviour, he was the force of his life and the end of everything he did. He died on October 12, 2006, a victim of fulminant . On October 10, 2020, in the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, in Assisi, he was proclaimed Blessed.
His story has managed to captivate many due to the devotion he showed from a very young age. They call him “the influencer of God”, the “cyber apostle of the Eucharist”, “the saint of the network”, “A model and example of Christian life”, especially for adolescents.
This novena to Blessed Carlo Acutis, was edited by Sister Gini George SSpS, and translated into Spanish by Sister Edita Vera SSpS. It is a short, simple material, accessible to pray from any electronic device. Each day begins with the reading of a Biblical text, follows an Intercessory Prayer to the Blessed to ask for the grace that is desired, highlighting some qualities and virtues, sayings and thoughts of the young Blessed; each day of the novena concludes with the prayer of the Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, and the antiphon “Before the Light of the Word….”
