Prayer of a Consecrated Woman

Here I am, Lord!

One day, when I was still very young, you called me to follow your ways.
You ignited a passion within me, and I knew there was no turning back.

I knew that my life was eternally sealed with yours. And my heart rejoiced.
The years went by, many illusions were shattered and many things fell by the wayside…

But the strength of your call continues as alive as if it were today. Your always faithful love accompanies me day after day.

And each day, anew, I search for your voice that whispers in my heart… And how difficult it is, Lord, to bear your silence. But when you speak to me, it is as if flowers bloom within me in the rays of the sun.

You, Lord, are the reason for my existence. It is because of you that I face challenges and difficulties in the confidence that even a simple smile can make all the difference in the lives of the people you put on my path.

It is because of you, Lord, that I don’t give up. That I remain stubborn, swimming against the current, searching for the meaning hidden behind all appearances.
