Blessed Saint Joseph, our model, and our helper, we turn to you in our great need.
We have prayed for the help of the Virgin Mary, your holy spouse, and now we turn to you with confidence because of the affection that united you to the Immaculate Virgin, Mother of God, and because of the fatherly love you gave the Child Jesus, we beg you to look kindly on us, the inheritance that Jesus Christ saved with his blood, and help us in our needs.
Protect, Custodian of the divine Family, the chosen lineage of Jesus Christ.
Preserve us from all contagion of error and corruption; be our helper and assist us from heaven.
Protect us in the battle we wage today against the powers of darkness.
Just as before, you saved the Child Jesus from the danger of death, now defend the Holy Church of God against the wiles of the enemy and against all adversity.
Protect us with your constant help, so that, following your example and sustained by your help, we can live and die in God’s grace and obtain eternal happiness in heaven. Amen.
