Lord,
We bring before you the pain of humanity that is struggling and suffering in search of peace.
We bring the anguish of the victims of violence, of injustice and oppression.

We bring the despair of the lost, your loved ones in conflict situations.
We also bring our wounded heart, thirsting for your peace and your love.

O God, we want to consecrate today to the cause of peace, that the time may come
when every day will be a day of peace.

Give us your light, Lord, to build peace in our relationships.
Give us, Lord, your peace to learn, to welcome without prejudice
and to respect the dignity of every human being.

Give us, Lord, your peace so that we may recognize in each person our fellow human being and in all creation the generous gift of your love.

Transform the violence and injustice that dwell within us into the gift of love
and compassion that generate peace. Amen.
