Lord Jesus,
exhausted by missionary travels, you sat by the well of Jacob
and said to the Samaritan woman: “Give me a drink.”
Guide us to the sources of “living water”
so that we proclaim everywhere
the good news of the kingdom.
Sanctifying Spirit,
who already hovered over the waters
at the origins of the world,
strengthen the mission work of the Church,
so that all peoples
reach the fullness of life.
O Father, by your Spirit of love,
give us this “living water” which is Jesus,
to proclaim the Gospel
with renewed missionary ardor. Amen.
