This small work was written by the Arnoldo Janssen Spirituality Center (CEAJ) and wants to be a presentation of the Foundation of the 3 Missionary Congregations (SVD, SSpS and SSpSAP) in its role in Steyl and its first developments.
The biography of the first members of these congregations stands out, that is, Arnoldo Janssen, José Frinademetz (1852-1908), Mother María (1852-1900), Mother Josefa (1952-1903), Mother Micaela (1862-1934). Also, from the first brothers Marcolino and Bernardo.
In addition, aspects of the personality of each of these brothers and sisters are described, as are the vicissitudes, opportunities and search for God’s will in this mission. Each one with their contribution and persevering faith make possible the flowering of something that seemed impossible for Arnoldo Janssen.
Aspects of the beginnings of the SVD are mentioned as priests and brothers at the service of the mission and of the SSpS sisters, in the kitchen, in formation, at the beginning in the continents, the experience of the first general chapters and the election of superior. / superior general.
The book ends with the presentation of the 4 SVD martyrs. The writing is simple and easy to read.
