This material was published on the anniversary of the Centenary of the arrival of our first Sisters in China.

The above text contains a series of reflections on some of the historical and memorial places in Steyl that the author, Sr. Mechtilde Berger SSpS, has shared when accompanying visitors, and especially participants of Renewal Programmes and members of the Arnoldus Family, along these paths since 1980.

The purpose of these reflections is to lead and guide the readers on their journey of encountering Mother María Stollenwerk, Mother Josepha Stenmanns, and the first Sisters. This is meant to be an inner experience, as far as that is possible on a short pilgrimage. At the same time, it is a reflection on the roots of our religious-missionary calling.
