His activities had been the expression of his deep, enduring love for the Chinese people—death ended those activities. And yet his voice still speaks . . . he was never so active as now. Father Joseph Freinademetz, S.V.D., one of the first two Divine Word Missionaries to go to foreign lands, visualized that mission as a bringing of bread to the starving. His entire missionary life was spent among the Chinese.
